Man shot in toe in Montell Heights

 

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to a man being shot in the toe on Wednesday night in Montell Heights.

Police said two men got into an altercation while on Ethel Street, which resulted in a third man being shot in the toe.

The victim was taken to hospital via ambulance where police said he remains in stable condition.

Police are also searching for the person responsible for a stabbing yesterday around 9:25 a.m. Two men reportedly got into an altercation at Miami Street. A 30-year-old man was stabbed to the abdomen. He remains in hospital for treatment, police said.

A woman is also in police custody for questioning in connection with an attempted murder investigation.

Police said residents of Fire Trail Road prevented a person on Wednesday, around 9:30 a.m., from setting a car on fire with a 4-year-old boy inside it. Police are questioning a 26-year-old female relative of the boy.

Detectives are also searching for those responsible for the armed robbery at Asue Draw Web Shop located at Boiler Avenue, off Poinciana Drive around 1:40 p.m. yesterday.

Two gunmen robbed the business, and three patrons, of an undisclosed amount of cash before escaping in a silver Mitsubishi, police confirmed.
