Murder trial fails to start in Supreme Court
The trial of a man accused of murdering a teenage girl four years ago failed to start in the Supreme Court yesterday.
Don Edgar Lewis, 40, is accused of the January 2, 2006 death of Judith Price, who was knocked down on Davis Street while walking home from the Carnival with her friends.
Senior Justice Jon Isaacs dismissed the jury after hearing arguments from defense lawyer Jerone Roberts.
Justice Isaacs apologized to the jury for the uncomfortable conditions that they had to endure while Roberts and prosecutor Terry Archer addressed the court.
Justice Isaacs adjourned the case to February 9.
