Toastmasters Become Ordained Ministers

Congratulations to Toastmasters Paulette and Johanzel Stuart, members of Cable Beach West Branch Toastmasters Club 6796, on their ordination as ministers of the gospel in Temple Fellowship Ministries, Davis Street, on Sunday, November 14, 2010.

The ceremonies were presided over by Bishop Cannel F. Swain, JP, CSC, Th.D, Ph.D., at the Temple Fellowship Ministries sanctuary in the presence of a crowded congregation. The Stuarts pledged their solemn commitment to God to teach and to preach the gospel of God’s Kingdom.

As members of the local Toastmasters organization here in Nassau, Pastors Paulette and Johanzel Stuart join many persons of the various professions who use membership in the program to bring a new dimension to their professional lives. Many college and university graduates find that membership in Toastmasters is very rewarding. The program provides training in communication and leadership skills.

Pastors Paulette and Johanzel join other members of the program who are also clergymen in their respective religious organizations. Some such members are bishops, priests, evangelists and other ministers of the gospel.

Other professionals in the program include lawyers, doctors, engineers, bankers, accountants, teachers and many others.

We encourage the newly ordained ministers, Pastor Paulette Stuart, Ph.D. and Pastor Johanzel Stuart, M.A., to let their light so shine that others may see what the Toastmasters program can do to improve the quality of life for members and persons in the wider Bahamian community.

The Cable Beach West Branch Toastmasters Club 6796 meets every Tuesday at 7:00 pm at Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, West Bay Street.
