BSE boss thrilled about PM’s vote of confidence in engineering sector

President of The Bahamas Society of Engineers(BSE)Robert Reiss spoke with Guardian Business about the events leading up to the inaugural BSE seminar, which was held last Friday at the Sheraton Grand Resort. He also commented on Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham’s vote of confidence in the engineering sector.”It has been a long road, planning for this began 14 months ago and was approved by the[Professional Engineers Board]as an activity that would be[resourceful]. We’ve had some great support not just from our board members but from our community. It’s really been a collaborative community effort bringing this together.”We are absolutely thrilled with the comments from the prime minister and he has reaffirmed his support of not only the BSE but more importantly the Bahamian engineering community, and the fact that we have in the role in the development in the community that he recognizes. I think it’s a tremendous start to a wonderful event.”
