Gatta Be Jokin’

Laughter is in the air and it will be contagious this weekend.

With the down-home humor of Mike Epps, the crazy unpredictability of Buck Wild and the classic humor of Bill Bellamy there is no doubt that you will be in stitches this weekend as this trio of comedians bring the laughter and the fun for their”Gatta Be Jokin”comedy jam, which is the third installment in production group, I AM INFLUENCE’s comedy series.

If you missed Steve Harvey and Cedric The Entertainer’s shows earlier in the year then you will not want to let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity pass you by too. After all, it’s not everyday that this caliber of comedians come together to put on a show locally. Executive Producer of the event, Lisa Tottle says that this will be a fantastic show that will let you forget your worries for a few hours and just laugh like there is no tomorrow. She says the reason that she chose Epps, Bellamy and Buck Wild to perform was because she was impressed with their styles of humor as well as their personal interest in coming to do the show.

“I am excited about everything and I really think that this is going to be a very good event,”says Tottle.”We have a great lineup that should have the audience well entertained all evening long. We will have local musical performers Sosaman and Big AC performing before the main acts hit the stage as well. They are making waves with their music recently so the crowd should enjoy them.

“Now, the main acts, everyone should be familiar with the comedy of Bill Bellamy. He’s really a big headliner in the U.S. and he was excited to come down. The comedian Buck Wild will also be putting on a good show, and in fact, he was here for our last comedy show with Steve Harvey. The crowd really loved him and many people asked us to bring him back. He also enjoyed his experience here and he really wanted to come back as well. So it was a two-fold deal that worked out for everyone. And of course the big headliner Mike Epps will be making this show truly worthwhile. When we started doing this comedy series we identified comedians who would be great and were interested in coming down and Mike Epps was always interested in coming. So he is finally coming and it looks like it will be a great show.”

So if you have been following these comedians on the international circuit then you can expect an outstanding event. The headliner, Mike Epps, became extremely popular since his performances in the”Friday”movie series with Ice Cube. Epps also starred in the 2010 films”Faster”with Dwayne Johnson and”The Lottery Ticket”with Bow Wow and Brandon T. Jackson. He is currently regarded among his peers as being one of the funniest comic actors to emerge on the Hollywood scene recently. He is also starring in his own one-hour stand-up comedy special”Mike Epps: Under-rated and Never Faded”on Comedy Central and Showtime.

Comedian Bill Bellamy is also doing big things on the international scene.

Bellamy starred in”The Lottery Ticket”and he is currently guest starring in the recent episodes of Tyler Perry’s”Meet the Browns.”He has been highly regarded over the last decade in the world comedy circuit and even has his own television comedy series on TV One called”Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes?”

For the third performer, Buck Wild, comedy is just who he is. As a true comedian he has opened for Steve Harvey, Jamie Foxx, Katt Williams, Mike Epps and Paul Mooney. He has appeared on BET’s Comic View and the films”What We Do is Wrong”and”Soulful.”

Tottle says that this concert with these three amazing acts couldn’t come at a better time when everyone in society is on edge with the rising crime and the continued effects of the recession.

“It’s been a tough year and right now with everything that’s going on the only remedy to ease tension and stress is laughter. It’s a great way to put a smile on people’s faces and end the year right. It’s going to be a great event and the cost for tickets isn’t too exorbitant so that people can be encouraged even more to come out and have a good time.”

This will definitely be a night that you will not want to miss. So come out, bring your funny bone and enjoy yourself at an event you will not easily forget this weekend.
