Police question suspects in Abaco murder probe
Police are questioning three people regarding the murder of Stanley Saintvil and the attempted murders of his girlfriend and their daughter, police have confirmed.
According to Assistant Commissioner Glenn Miller, it is too early to say whether or not any of these suspects will be charged.
Police suspect those responsible for the killing were after more than$50,000 Saintvil won gambling.
Saintvil, 35, was the owner of Stanley Steel Construction. He was with his family at their home at Forest Drive, Marsh Harbour, Abaco when a gunman ambushed him, police said.
Saintvil reportedly got into a struggle with one of the men who shot him multiple times. He died at the scene.
The gunman shot Saintvil’s girlfriend, Sainta Louis, 25, and their one-year-old daughter. They are both detained at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
The Nassau Guardianunderstands that the suspects will arrive in New Providence on Friday.
Saintvil was the 91st homicide victim recorded in 2010.
