Supporting young Bahamians: The Association of International Banks&Trust Companies(AIBT)is one of the founders of the Financial Community Advanced Technical Education Trust(FCATET), which provides financial awards for young Bahamians involved in professional courses of study. These professional courses typically are not associated with financial services and recent awards include financial support for diplomas in marine mechanics, air-conditioning and diesel technology.
AIBT has always had a strong educational focus and its Chairman David Thain says it is pleased to continue its support of FCATET. The organization recently provided US$8,000 to maintain the important work of the trust. SG Hambros Bank and Trust are trustees of FCATET, while Providence Advisors Limited provides management services.
