Shoppers outline their experiences during holiday season

In this edition of”Man on the Street,”Guardian Business went downtown and asked several persons about their shopping experiences during the holiday season. Here’s what they had to say:

“I’m not spending too much, why spend it’s just one day, I need money for next year. I’m not finding a lot of good bargains and prices, they could be lower. I don’t really feel a difference in[spending]this year because my mommy usually spends for me.”

-Shania Gill

“There’s not a wide variety of places to shop from here so just have to go where it’s at and you can find what you want. The mall is chaotic, but i think downtown would be a better place to find what you’re looking for. The prices weren’t too bad, for this year, I made out well”

-Rashan Dean

“Downtown shopping is fine, This is my first time shopping in The Bahamas. I can get good stuff so I’m happy.”-Debby Burks, tourist from Longview, Texas

“They have some good prices on different items in the mall and[other downtown stores].[Shopping]is a little different now because it’s plenty people and plenty items being purchased now. i’m not spending too much money this year like I did last year. Things are a little tougher now.”

-Cyron Ferguson
