Three charged with robbing U.S. tourists
Police have charged three men with the armed robberies of two American couples in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera.
Prosecutors allege that Cameron Campbell, Doderidhe Connaly, and Carlos Kelly, all of Savannah Sound, broke into a home occupied by Craig and Connie Wilson on December 23. The men allegedly robbed the couple of jewelry, electronics and$2,040 cash.
Police allege that Connaly was found with a Blackberry and Ipod that the couple reported stolen.
The men are also accused of breaking into a home occupied by Nancy Ohare and Clarke Shepherd on the same date and robbing them of jewelry worth$7,600.
The men were not required to enter pleas to the charges at their arraignment before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez. They have been remanded to prison. A preliminary inquiry will be held to determine if there is enough evidence for them to stand trial in the Supreme Court.
