Sales clerk accused of stealing more than$20k
A store sales clerk denied stealing more than$20,000 from her employers during a six-month period.
Anetra Pickstock, 26, of Cedar Way, off Carmichael Road, is accused of stealing$22,922.40 from B’Jou Classique on Mount Royal Avenue from May 1 to October 1, 2010.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge during an arraignment before Magistrate Jeanine Weech-Gomez, who granted her$10,000 bail with one surety.
Pickstock returns to court on March 8 for the beginning of her trial.
Appearing in the same court was Valentino Williams, who was denied bail on armed robbery and attempted murder charges.
Williams, of Malcom Road, is accused of robbing 4 U Beauty Supply on Malcolm Road of$1,500 on December 18. Williams is also charged with the attempted murder of Kenrick Seymour, who was shot during the armed robbery.
A preliminary inquiry to determine if there is enough evidence for trial begins on March 8.
