Two suspected of transporting drugs
Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit(DEU)arrested two Bahamian men yesterday as they disembarked a private aircraft at the Lynden Pindling International Airport(LPIA)with what the officers suspect to be cocaine.
Information provided by DEU officials revealed that officers stopped and searched the two men, ages 38 and 45, around 10 a.m. when they got off of a private charter that originated in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Their reports revealed that one of the men was carrying a suitcase with 16 taped packages that they now suspect is cocaine.
An investigation into the matter is being done.
