TIEA Ties Argentine Republic

The Bahamas signed its seventh Tax Information Exchange Agreement(TIEA)with the Argentine Republic on December 3, 2009. Located in southern South America, many Bahamians will remember Argentina’s attempt to take the Falkland(Malvinas)Islands from the United Kingdom by force in 1982-3. Its failure in that attempt hastened the demise of its military government and the nation’s return to democracy.
