2nd annual LoveFest all about love and laughter
This weekend, lovers of comedy are in for a sweet Valentine’s treat as WizeGuy Entertainment presents another LoveFest show headlined by world famous comedian, Aries Spears.
The show takes place at 9 p.m. on Saturday, February 12 in the Rainforest Theatre.
Known for his irreverent take on modern day topics and celebrities alike, Spears has built a huge following thanks to spot-on impersonations that were a staple on his hit television series, Mad TV. Spears has also appeared on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Shaq’s All-Star Comedy Jam and Comedy Central. Though he has been touring non-stop recently and working on various film projects, the comedian is very excited to be performing for the first time ever here in The Bahamas, and promises to bring the jokes.
Also making her debut in Nassau is Leslie Jones, the Comic View and HBO’s Def Comedy Jam alum whose no-holds-barred stand-up show has left audiences in stitches. Having toured with Katt Williams during the highly successful It’s Pimpin Pimpin Tour, this comedy diva considers all topics fair game from relationships to men to picky women and everything in between.
Also scheduled to appear live on stage is Drew Thomas of Comic View and Comedy Central acclaim, as well as comedy veteran Ray J. from Miami.
LoveFest promises to be a night to remember. There won’t be a shortage of local talent either. Joker’s Wild and Nassau’s very own Naughty, a stand-up comedian for over 12 years, will also perform, touching on local topics as only he can. Newcomer Mark B will show his improvisational skills. Radio personality Mr. K will serve as your host and MC for the evening.
LoveFest 2011 general admission tickets are on sale now starting at$40 in advance. Tickets are available at the Jukeboxx, Island Cellular, Fine Threads and John’s Shoe Store. Limited platinum and VIP tickets are also available for this year’s LoveFest exclusively at the Jukeboxx.
