BASEBALL IN LONG ISLAND

nThe Long Island Baseball Association(LIBA)opened its 2011 season recently in grand style. The league continues to grow with 90 players on seven teams in two age brackets(Coach Pitch and 12-and-under). Long Island is looking forward to sending two teams to participate in the 9th Annual Andre Rodgers Bahamas Baseball Federation(BBF)Championships, scheduled for June. LIBA President Dan Weightman and his team of executives are excited about the growth of baseball in Long Island, and the participation from the kids on the island. They are looking forward to a very successful and productive year.
