Lawyer accused of forgery
An attorney yesterday denied the forgery and attempted fraud charges against her when she appeared before Magistrate Subu Swain.
Police arrested Sariaha Symone Miller, 28, of Sapphire Ridge for allegedly forging a signature on a job letter.
Prosecutors allege that Miller forged Mario McCartney’s signature on a job letter from Lex Justis on February 2.
Miller, a junior counsel, is also accused of attempting to obtain a$5,000 loan from the Bank of The Bahamas by using the fraudulent document.
She was granted$5,000 bail and returns to court on May 30 for the start of her trial.
