Along life’s road

Thus says the Lord God: behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation, whoever believes will not act hastily.–Isaiah 28:16.

There are many persons known and unknown to you as you read, who are depressed, rejected and neglected. In a whole lot of cases they are not among those bound by poverty’s strong ties, live in sub-standard housing conditions or are paid minimum wage. Many times they come socially aligned, wealthy, educated and luxuriously housed.

Depression, rejection and neglect have no respect as to who you are. Be you a foreign cabinet minister, a bright, young, wealthy actress or just a vagrant on the street, the media tells it all. After the act has been done, there is always a reason for the outcome–drugs, genetic, loss of love, loss of employment. However, few express the fact that the person’s upbringing was not in keeping with God’s Laws and Commandments, or in fact if it was, they strayed from foundation principles.

Sometime ago in the Business section ofThe Nassau Guardiana photo of a happy Facebook.com founder, Mark Zuckerberg appeared next to his company’s trade name, but what really got me was that the headline in bold letters was”TRIED AND TESTED.”It goes on to tell that the company, Facebook, in light of the phenomenal financial success of Bill Gates’Microsoft, is following the footsteps by opening its doors to others companies to sell products and create software on their networking site. No one can dispute the fact that Microsoft has been tested and tried as a very successful company.

In recent times, there have been many pros and cons bandied about as to the privatization of The Bahamas Telecommunications Company(BTC)with the majority of shares going to the Cable and Wireless Communications(CWC). The government’s approval for going through with the sale is that CWC is a company that has been around for a long time, had its difficulties but now has regained its position to one of being sound to its foundation and one that can withstand the test of time. The proof of the pudding is the time spent in the baking process. Then and only then can one rejoice in the mixture of the pudding.

The Prophet Isaiah in our chapter lesson today, begins with a strong word–woe! For everything that goes against the will of the Almighty God, will be brought down and destroyed. Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower which is at the head of the verdant valleys, to those who are overcome with wine. The Almighty God is very displeased with the evil spirit of depression, rejection, deception and neglect that is rampant in our land.

As in the days of Isaiah, God, and God alone, will have to make the difference. Verse five tell us”In that day the Lord of hosts will be for a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people, for a spirit of justice of Him who sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.”

There are among those who live in this country, a spiritual core of persons who keep the wheels of this land greased with their prayers and supplications. Depression and all that goes along with it, is being replaced with a new song of praise. Rejected stones are becoming the chief cornerstone and a sure foundation is being laid in Zion. Yes, there will be those who go against God’s laws and principles and despise the children of God, but the very success of this land will be the victory shout of His people.

You know what? For all of you who feel depressed, been put down and let down, trampled upon and despised, this is your day of newness. Old things are done away with. All things are become new. Shake off those heavy bands and lift up holy hands for the Lord God reigneth and His mercy is from everlasting to everlasting. Forget about pay day and the end of the month and the financial stress that goes along with it. Tell your mind today that this is the very last time that you are going to allow it to play tricks with your well being. Let your old self know that this day is your day to shed off the tattered garment of low self respect and be decked out in excellence.

Hear God today as He assures. He has already worked for you. Your foundation is immovable and sure. Your cornerstone is precious. Your job description is only to believe, thus granting you deliverance from making mistakes that will have generational adverse effect.

You have nothing to lose. Yes, you have taken your examination, you did not act unseemly and in haste. You have been tested and tried.”Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; whoever believes will not act hastily.”

For years I have been using TCN(Trinity Communications Network), which has as its CEO and directors, God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Ghost. I can testify that my calls always went through without interruption and I got positive results. The only cost is for you to install a faith optic line that runs all the way from earth to Glory.

Here’s a song for you today that will give you’strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow’.”Tempted and tried, we’re oft made to wonder why it should be thus all the day long, While there are others living about us, Never molested tho’in the wrong. Farther along we’ll know all about it, Farther along we’ll understand why, Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine, We’ll understand it all by and by.”
