Brothers charged with murder
Two brothers have been remanded into custody at Her Majesty’s Prison for the murder of Renaldo Appoleon.
Demetri Cleare, 22, and Dorian Cleare, 25, who both appeared in court in bloodstained clothing, did not have to enter pleas to the charge at an arraignment before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez on Wednesday.
Demetri had a bandage wrapped around his head and Dorian’s upper right chest was bandaged.
Appoleon, 20, of Fourth Street, Coconut Grove, collapsed and died at the junction of Fourth Street and Palm Tree Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. on March 20. According to police, Appoleon received fatal stab wounds during a fight at’It Is What It Is Barber Shop and Lounge’on Robinson Road and Fourth Street.
Gomez told the men their case would be fast-tracked to the Supreme Court by a voluntary bill of indictment. They will make their next court appearance on June 23.
