It’s a footloose kind of time

It’s bold. It’s spicy.  It’s colorful.  It’s exciting.  And it’s a culturally rich dance experience that will prove entertaining to the entire family. It’s the 16th Annual Eurhythmics Dance Studio’s dance extravaganza.

The performance dubbed “Footloose,” will be staged at the Rainforest Theater at the Wyndham Nassau Resort and Crystal Palace Casino on Sunday, June 26 at 7 p.m. with 50-plus dancers ranging in age from three to 30, gracing the stage in a show of celebration, talent, culture and inspiration. They will showcase performances in different dance genres including ballet, modern jazz, tap, pointe and choreographed dance.

“Footloose is about a freedom of being able to dance, the movement of feet and the excitement you get from being able to express yourself,” says Mario Wright, event organizer.  “We have something really special for the crowd this year.  We are really getting the kids involved in the organization of the event because this is about them as much as it is about showing the world the beauty of dance.  We will be bringing back favorites like the “The Lion King” and “Broadway” which have been crowd pleasers since we started the annual productions.”

For those that have seen  Eurhythmics Dance Studio productions time and time again, this year there are nine new numbers to get excited about with themes like “Black and Gold,” “Africana,” “Inner Man,” “Remember” (from Fame), “Cocojumbo” and others that are sure to blow the roof off that night.”

A surprise performance by founder of Eurhythmic Studios Gabriella Szabo who has never performed before in one of her productions is expected to “put the icing on the cake.”

“Whether you like to dance or not, this weekend’s performance is bound to get you on your feet and inspired to let your feet get a bit loose. The kids have really worked hard and from the three-year-olds to the adults, the performances will be spectacular. You will not want to miss this because something this good does not come often.”

Tickets can be purchased at the Eurhythmics Dance Studio on Rosetta Street in Palmdale or at the door on the night of the performance for $20.
