Small plane crashes off Andros

A Cessna 421 airplane crashed in waters off Mangrove Cay, Andros, around 4 p.m. yesterday, according to Director of Civil Aviation Patrick Rolle.

He said that one person was onboard the plane, but got out safely.

Rolle said the plane, which went down north of the South Andros airport, was destroyed.

He did not give details as to what caused the crash, but said a team of investigators was headed to Andros to investigate the matter.
