Police arrest man in stolen car
A man was taken into police custody yesterday morning in the Carmichael Road area after it was determined that the vehicle he was travelling in was stolen, according to police.
The incident occurred around 1:14 a.m. on Turtle Drive. Police said the burgundy Honda Accord was reported stolen earlier this month. Officers from the Southwestern Division arrested the man, who is a resident of Charles Vincent Street.
Officers from the Southwestern Division also recovered an undisclosed quantity of ammunition from bushes off Baillou Hill Road Thursday afternoon.
Police said the discovery took place sometime around 5:10 p.m. from a bushy area at Newbold Street, off Baillou Hill Road.
No one was taken into custody in connection with the find.
