Wendy’s team earns top honors

Local businessmen and Wendy’s franchise owners, Chris and Terry Tsavoussis, recently earned top honors from Wendy’s executive team by winning the prestigious “International Franchisees Of The Year” award at the company’s convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The talented Tsavoussis team beat out fellow franchisees from twenty-four countries and territories around the world including Australia, Dubai, Puerto Rico and The Dominican Republic to take home the esteemed title.

Proving they’re “a cut above”, Chris and Terry received recognition for exemplifying values considered to be cornerstones of the brand, and for successfully leading their team in operating ten of the top performing restaurants in the entire Wendy’s system.

Every two years, the “International Franchisee Of The Year” award is presented to individuals or organizations that excel in the key facets of the business including operations, employee development, marketing and community involvement. These individuals are committed to organizational growth and continually reinvest in their business.

Hosted by the newly-appointed CEO of Wendy’s, Emil Brolick and the President Of Wendy’s International Division, Darrell Van Ligten, the awards dinner brought together a cadre of seasoned entrepreneurs responsible in part for making Wendy’s a global contender in the quick serve restaurant industry.

Congratulating Chris and Terry on their remarkable achievements since taking over the brand, Brolick also acknowledged the tremendous opportunity for brand dominance and revenue growth for Wendy’s in strategic, new markets outside of North America.

At the 2009 Wendy’s Convention, Chris and Terry also received the Wendy’s “Diamond Award”, for marketing excellence. The award celebrated the exceptional results Wendy’s Bahamas has maintained in the breakfast category over the years.

In accepting the “Franchisee Of The Year Award”, Chris and Terry graciously thanked their entire team, and acknowledged the nine-member entourage of managers who also travelled to the Vegas convention.

The International Franchisee of the Year Award is the highest honor in the Wendy’s International Division and is reserved for exceptional contributions to the International Division. The Wendy’s family extends congratulations to both Chris and Terry Tsavoussis on this great accomplishment.
