Legal arguments delay murder retrial
Legal arguments have delayed the taking of evidence at the retrial of a man accused of a murder that occurred nine years ago.
Prosecutors allege that Arthur Carey is responsible for the September 2002 shooting death of Desmond Storr at West Street.
Presiding Justice Roy Jones excused the jury until Monday as he continues to hear legal arguments in their absence.
Jerone Roberts represents Carey and Ambrose Brown appears for the Crown.
Carey is on remand at Her Majesty’s Prisons.
