Baha Mar reveals executives who will run casino

Attorney General Allyson Maynard-Gibson said Saturday that Baha Mar’s slot machines are on the dock and ready to be installed, while Baha Mar yesterday announced the names of the two executives who will run the casino operations.

In a press statement sent out by Baha Mar, Alex W. Pariente and John Zaremba were identified as the people who will direct the executive team at Baha Mar Casino.

According to the statement, Pariente will serve as executive vice president of casino operations and marketing. Zaremba will serve as vice president of casino operations.

Baha Mar Casino, when opened, is expected to be the largest in the region with 100,000 square feet of gaming.

Baha Mar executives said the casino will be operated by a subsidiary of Baha Mar’s owner, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises. The casino is expected to have more than 1,000 slot machines, 126 table games, race and sports

betting, mobile gaming and exclusive high roller gaming salons.

The resort is expected to have a soft opening in a little more than one month.

The Baha Mar statement explained that both Pariente and Zaremba come with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry. Pariente is described as having 20 years of leadership experience in the hospitality, entertainment and gaming industries, having held executive positions at casinos in both the Caribbean and Las Vegas.

“Prior to joining Baha Mar Casino, Pariente was the chief gaming officer for Hard Rock International in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic,” the resort’s statement said.

Zaremba comes with 30 years of experience and was most recently the vice president of gaming operations for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

“Recognized for his expertise and innovation in high roller gaming, Zaremba was instrumental in creating and operating the most successful high limit and private gaming salons in Las Vegas at The Cosmopolitan, Venetian and Palazzo,” Baha Mar’s statement said.

Baha Mar President Graeme Davis lauded the men as some of the best in the business.

“Alex and John possess extensive experience in opening and operating luxury casinos and resorts globally,” said Graeme.

“As owners and operators of the largest casino in the Caribbean, CTFE and the executive team at Baha Mar look forward to welcoming Alex and John, and drawing upon their deep expertise in the industry to create the next great gaming and entertainment destination for guests and visitors alike.”
