God’s mercies endureth forever

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”– Psalm 91:1

“With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” – Psalm 91:16

We give God thanks and praise for his wonderful and marvelous gift to mankind in that he gave to the world his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, for our redemption. In accepting him as Lord and Savior there are many divine entitlements.

It’s a new month, and we are well on our way. Thus far many have been plagued with many social, moral, physical, and financial ills, but in spite of, we remain on planet earth.

Like the years that have gone, many who were once young, spritely and debonair, find themselves honorees at retirement parties. The wheel of time has caused them to put down their vocational tools and study on the job no more. So what is to be done with the change? There is hope, for the work of the Lord has no retirement clause.

Our text today offers a gratuity for those who have been true and faithful in serving God; those who have been domiciled in the secret place of the most high shall not be put out to pasture but shall continue to remain in place.

Further there are rewarding and irrevocable blessings — he will keep you safe from all hidden dangers and from all deadly diseases. He will cover you with his wings and you will be safe in his care. His faithfulness will protect and defend you. You need not fear any dangers at night or sudden attacks during the day, or plagues that strike in the dark, or the evils that kill in daylight.

A thousand may fall dead beside you, 10,000 all around you, but you will not be harmed. You will look and see how the wicked are punished.

You have made the Lord your defender; the most high your protector, and so no disaster will strike you. No violence will come near your home. God will put his angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go.

They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the stones. You will trample down lions and snakes, fierce lions and poisonous snakes.

God says I will save those who love me and will protect those who acknowledge me as Lord. When they call to me, I will answer them. When they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will rescue them and honor them, and reward them with long life.

As we come to the fork in the road of the national affairs of our country, those who by experience have the formulae for the good of all, must come together and offer their wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

I invite those who would want to grow deeper and stronger in the love of God to email me so that we can meet weekly for prayers and sharing. God’s mercies endureth forever.
