Exuma drug seizure

Police officers load up containers of marijuana which were discovered on Warderick Wells Cay, thanks to a joint operation between Exuma Land and Sea Park wardens, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Drug Enforcement Unit and the Royal Bahamas Police Force. TORRELL GLINTON

Officers seized approximately $168,000 worth of marijuana and arrested two Bahamian men during a joint operation at Warderick Wells Cay, Exuma yesterday, police said.

Police and defense force officers, along with wardens from the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, found nine bags of marijuana weighing 168 pounds shortly after 9 a.m.

Police said both men arrested, ages 34 and 44, are known to police.
