God shall bless us
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. — Psalm 67:3
What a wonderful show of national solidarity from those who participated, were involved and gathered at Clifford Park to witness stellar performances, powerful preaching of the Word and spontaneous appreciative outbursts celebrating our nation’s 45th Independence anniversary. I had a rough day, but I rebuked the devil and was glad when the invitation ticket stared me in the face from the mantle.
I was brought up with the mantra that practice makes perfect and I know that many practice sessions were held for the flawless performances; but I tell you what, when it comes to a people called Bahamians, and more and more I hold fast to my belief, that indeed they are a chosen generation. Just imagine being so few numerically but able to master any profession, trade, talent, or whatever. Sometimes I share jokingly, but meaningfully, that Bahamians do not need a script to cut a movie. Yes, they may have their way, but deep down within their inner most being, for them, there is no God like Jehovah.
I just bless Bahamian young men from the bellies of women who bore the burden and heat of the day but were able to produce top-notch inventory for the world to benefit. I am now referring to children as “parents’ inventory”. And how is your inventory.
I wrote a few weeks ago that I am still giving God thanks for the fact that be it as it may, for me and many others as believers in the power of God, that the 12 percent VAT will become a blessing.
To this end, I was saving pennies, those I received as change and any that I saw on the ground without any owner. The Lord spoke to my spirit and told me to fill sandwich bags with 12 cents each. I tied a purple ribbon around the bags and I am giving them out as blessings for times such as these. Were there not 12 baskets collected after thousands had been fed. Where is your faith, people of The Bahamas? God is ready to bless, but are you ready to receive?
There are few nights that I sleep all night. I have to wake up when God has a message for me. In Thailand, 12 boys and their coach were trapped in a flooded cave. From the Bahamas I asked God for a favor — deliver all the boys and their coach safely to their parents. I was positive God would respond, especially since the coach made 13, and years ago, God said that Satan had the world to believe that 13 was a hard luck number — more so since I got married on the 13th and it did not work. But believe me, God took my lemon and made delicious lemonade for his servant.
Perhaps those who were unbelievers in that land, will come to believe that God is the God of all gods, the king of all kings, monarch of all monarchs, and leader of all leaders.
God, as a people and nation, be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause your face to shine upon us, that your way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.
Let the people praise thee, O God, let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase, and God, even our on God, shall bless us.
God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. The Word of God for the people of God.
Get ready Bahamians, the blessings of the Lord is getting ready to pour. It is not about the law, but about the Lord.
