Couple’s drug case is delayed

A couple facing drug charges had its trial adjourned for another month on Friday at the request of its lawyer.

Patrick Bosfield Jr., 47, and Canadian Veronica Beuachese-Bosfield, 53, both of Devonshire Street, Coral Harbour, were arrested in April after police allegedly found more than 70 pounds of marijuana inside their home.

They have denied two counts of marijuana possession with intent to supply and one count of marijuana cultivation.

Magistrate Samuel McKinney adjourned the trial to August 7 at the request of Attorney Ian Cargill.

A team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant on the couple’s home, police said.

During the search, they allegedly found multiple packages containing marijuana throughout the home with a combined weight of 72.6 pounds.

The officers also allegedly found 20 potted marijuana plants on the pool deck of the home.
