Four face court in two separate murders

Three teenagers, including a juvenile, were yesterday formally charged with murder.

Reno Solomon, 18, of Acklins Street; Katraz Coakley, 19, of Yellow Elder, and a 16-year-old boy, are accused of the June 16 shooting death of Roland Williams, who was otherwise known as “Yellow”, at Crooked Island Street.

Attorney Donna Major appeared for Solomon and Nathan Smith represented the other two suspects.

They were not required to enter pleas to the charge when they appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.

He refused bail and adjourned the matter to October 24 for presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.

Also charged with murder was Omar Thompson, 23, of Gibbs Corner.

Prosecutors allege that Thompson murdered Ernest Davis on July 28.

Thompson did not have a lawyer at his appearance before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.

He returns to court on October 10 for presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.
