Former Island Luck employee charged with stealing $165K

A former supervisor at Island Luck has been accused of stealing from the company.

Christina Green-Taylor, 32, was charged with six counts of stealing by reason of employment at her arraignment before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis.

Prosecutors allege that Green-Taylor stole $165,829 from the Collins Avenue location from April 30 to September 4.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges and has been remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services as the magistrate has no jurisdiction to grant bail for the offenses.

Green-Taylor returns to court on October 16 for a status hearing.

Valentine Grimes and Ian Cargill represent Green-Taylor.

Inspector Lakisia Moss prosecuted.
