Baha Mar has introduced an exclusive capsule collection of swimwear and accessories in partnership with the iconic luxury fashion brand Vilebrequin. The three-piece limited-edition collaboration is inspired by the artwork of Bahamian artist John Cox, the resort’s creative arts director. It celebrates resort lifestyle embodied by Baha Mar and Vilebrequin.
The Vilebrequin x Baha Mar capsule collection features signature pieces which debut an original, colorful flamingo print, inspired by the dynamic and bold artwork of the Caribbean, as well as the beauty and graceful nature of the national bird of The Bahamas, the flamingo. Created from the imaginative designs by Cox, the bespoke Baha Mar blue, turquoise and white geometric flamingo print is now available in Vilebrequin’s signature Men’s Moorea Short, Boy’s Jim Short and the Balade Tote Bag. The range marks the first time Bahamian artwork is prominently featured on such a recognizable and timeless international brand.
Capturing Vilebrequin’s St. Tropez heritage and Baha Mar’s Bahamian aesthetic throughout the capsule, the swim trunks boast a bright green drawstring, perfectly blending with the bright and enigmatic flamingo print. The swim trunk design is comprised of Vilebrequin’s exclusively developed, soft-touch polyamide fabric and features an elastic waistband with drawstring, three pockets and a fast-drying cotton-polyester inner brief.
“We are thrilled to partner with Vilebrequin and introduce Baha Mar’s first custom collection of swimwear and accessories spotlighting the national bird of The Bahamas, the beloved flamingo,” said Graeme Davis, Baha Mar president. “Collaborating with Vilebrequin is a natural fit for Baha Mar, as the ocean’s blue waters, sunny days and family bonds are the moments inspiring both fans of Vilebrequin and the intimate guest experience at Baha Mar. We are truly honored to introduce for the first time such a notable artist and piece of Bahamian artwork on a global swimwear and accessories brand such as Vilebrequin.”
Roland Herlory, CEO of Vilebrequin, said with luxury and fantasy at the forefront of everything they do at Vilebrequin, Baha Mar was an ideal partner for their latest collaboration.
“Baha Mar offers an elegant escape for families, and we are excited to be a part of their Bahamian experience, which will provide memories for a lifetime. Working with artists such as John Cox is inherent within our brand’s DNA, and the outcome of our collaboration is wearable art for the family,” said Herlory.
The Vilebrequin x Baha Mar capsule collection will be available globally at all Vilebrequin stores in the United States, the Vilebrequin boutique at Baha Mar, select locations in Brazil, as well as online at Vilebrequin.com.
