I went to the Department of Immigration on Hawkins Hill three days ago and was extremely impressed with the makeover of the place, the friendliness and professionalism I experienced from the officers.
I arrived at 2 p.m. to apply for a permanent residency card for my wife, and before 5 p.m. it was handed to me. Several years ago, this process would have taken weeks, maybe longer. It was excellent service. Kudos to Minister of Immigration Brent Symonette and immigration personnel.
