Man cleared of rape of other man

A jury on Tuesday acquitted a man of rape by a majority verdict of 8 -1.

Prosecutors had alleged that Dario McKenzie raped another male in January 2018.

McKenzie’s lawyer, Tai Pinder, successfully defended McKenzie against the allegation.

Terry Archer appeared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Acting Chief Justice Vera Watkins presided.
