Dept. of Inland Revenue hosts town hall meeting in Exuma
The Department of Inland Revenue in Exuma hosted a town hall meeting at St. Andrew’s Anglican Community Centre in George Town for tour operators, small business owners, second home owners and real property managers.
In an effort to create ease of client relations and turnaround time, the department is committed to informing and educating the public through seminars and one-on-one sessions. The Inland Revenue team from New Providence – Shandra Strachan, director; Keith Worrell, policy and value-added tax (VAT) coordinator; and Gaynell Rolle, acting chief valuation officer – outlined specifics about business license renewals, real property tax and VAT.
In attendance was Island Administrator Preston Cunningham, along with heads of various governmental departments.
