Four charged with Pioneers Way murder

Four people from Pioneers Loop, Grand Bahama, were arraigned yesterday on murder charges in connection with the death of a man whose body was found near Pioneers Way, according to police.

Police said Natoris Taylor, 23, Kivan Wilkinson, 20, Kyle Forbes, 20, and a 17-year-old have been charged with the murder of Charles Rolle Jr., 32, of Grand Bahama, before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson.

Tanielle Whyms, 42, and Demiko Baillou, 36, were charged with abetment to Rolle’s murder.

They were not required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to June 20.

Bail has been denied and they have been remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services to await trial. They can apply to the Supreme Court for bail.

The victim was found dead in the area of Pioneers Way near Coral Road in Freeport, Grand Bahama, last week with injuries to his body, police said.

Acting on information, police said they went to the area shortly after 11 p.m. and discovered the body.

Police said the victim had injuries to his upper body.
