Woman convicted of stabbing ex-boyfriend
A Supreme Court jury on Monday convicted a woman of attempted murder by a majority verdict.
Ernesta Butler, 25, was found guilty of the October 23, 2016 attempted murder of Trevor Taylor Jr., the father of two of her children.
Butler returns to court for sentencing on May 14 before Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns.
Butler, of Kemp Road, turned herself in to police days after the stabbing and confessed.
She showed police where she discarded her bloody shirt after stabbing Taylor twice in the neck during a fight.
Olivia Nixon and Casey Bethell prosecuted. Raymond Rolle represented Butler.
