DPM comes on board with Atlantic Medical Fun Run/Walk
Atlantic Medical Insurance Ltd. will be hosting its 21st annual Fun Run/Walk this Saturday in both the capital island of New Providence, and in Freeport, Grand Bahama.
Coming on board as a patron of the Freeport segment of the run is Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East Grand Bahama K. Peter Turnquest. In Freeport, the event will get underway at 6:30 a.m. at the Jasmine Corporate Center on East Sunrise Highway, home of the offices of Atlantic Medical Company Limited in Freeport. It is expected to wrap up around 10 a.m.
In New Providence, the Fun Run/Walk will begin and end at Montagu Beach, and is expected to end around the same time as the one in Freeport. Event participation requires a $25 donation for adults and a $15 donation for children 12 years and younger.
Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a gift pack, and will be eligible to win great prizes.
Proceeds of the event will aid the Cancer Society of The Bahamas and the Bahamas Diabetic Association. As a direct result of its contributions over the years, donating upward of $500,000 since the inception of the Fun Run/Walk, Atlantic Medical will be awarded the Life Achievement Award by the Cancer Society of The Bahamas at the Cancer Ball this year.
All are invited to register for the Fun Run/Walk today, or as soon as possible, as registration on the day of the event will not be permitted.
This year, every participant of the fun run/walk will have an opportunity to win a cruise for two. Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers in all categories.
