Seven shot on New Providence

Seven people were shot in two separate incidents on New Providence early Monday morning, according to police.

Police said the first incidents, which took place outside of a nightclub on Kemp Road, involved six people.

Shortly after 12 a.m., police said the occupants of a pink Nissan March opened fire on the group of people.

The injured were transported to hospital, according to police, where they were listed in stable condition.

In the second incident, police said a man was sitting inside his vehicle shortly before 1 a.m. in the parking lot of another nightclub on Tonique Williams-Darling Highway when he was approached by a gunman.

Police said the gunman then shot the victim, who was transported to hospital.

At last report he was listed in stable condition.
