Men fined for marijuana possession
Two roommates were yesterday fined in connection with drugs found in their home.
Allen Knowles, 22, and James Lambert, 27, pleaded guilty to charges of drug possession with intent to supply at their arraignment before Acting Deputy Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.
Police seized a total of five pounds or marijuana when they descended on their shared home on the Tonique Williams-Darling Highway on April 4.
Knowles, however, took responsibility for four ounces of marijuana found in a jar in his room.
Meanwhile Lambert, a chef, owned up to four pounds and seven ounces of loose marijuana and marijuana edibles found in the kitchen.
Knowles was fined $1,000 or six months in prison and Lambert was fined $4,700 or one year in prison.
