Insomnia, Amnesia and Unleash
Road March winner Bunji Garlin, Kes the Band, Patrice Roberts, Dexta Daps, Voice, Sketch Carey, Rik Carey and Benji – and that’s just Insomnia, the Friday, May 3 lineup for the Bahamas Carnival experience.
It’s going to be sheer madness, so make sure you rest up now, because you have to do it all again on Saturday for Amnesia, where you get to take your pick of two events at one party – with Road March winner Machel Montano, Farmer Nappy, Swappi, Problem Child, Shal Mashall, Teddyson, DMac, MDeez and Fanshawn all in one night.
Top soca deejays Willy Chin, Close Connections, Dr. Esan, DJ Bravo and Tank will be spinning hot tracks in the wet and dry sections which are being offered at Mass in Paradise for the first time. Which means Friday and Saturday night, you now have the option to party in the dry section and enjoy the amazing concert line up, or fete in the wet, Jouvert section, the Kalik Light Foam-Pit, and enjoy the sounds from the hottest deejays in The Bahamas, Trinidad and Jamaica.
The epic three-day weekend affair closes with Unleash, which is expected to be the hypest cooler fete of the year on Sunday, May 5 at Arawak Cay. And this year organizers say they are bringing an entire new meaning to feting on the beach with the deejays cranking up the tunes to the extreme.
Five events, three nights, comprising one epic weekend – Jayde Knowles, Bahamas Carnival public relations, says feters should prepare now.
“It’s more than just a concert, it is an experience,” said Knowles. “Three days of non-stop party atmosphere, providing music for persons of all ages but with one common goal – love, music and great vibes.”
• Tickets for the experiences are $40 per night, general admission, on Friday and Saturday; $60 VIP Friday and Saturday; $20 general admission, and $30 VIP on Sunday; and $90 general admission and $140 VIP for weekend passes.
