Police said yesterday that they arrested two men after they were found with nearly 9,000 illegal pills, including ecstasy, Xanax and Oxycodone, and a pound of marijuana.
Police said shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) officers searched a home on Dorchester Street off Virginia Street.
Inside the home, police said they seized a pound of marijuana, valued at $1,000; 2,425 ecstasy pills, valued at $110,000; 10 methamphetamine pills of an unknown value; 13 Oxycodone pills of an unknown value; 5,448 alprazolam pills of unknown value; and 1,090 Xanax pills of an unknown value. The clinical name for Xanax is alprazolam.
Two men in the home at the time of the search were arrested, according to police.
Police also searched a home on Marigold Farm Road and discovered 3.2 pounds of suspected marijuana, valued at $3,200, along with a number of fraudulent credit cards.
A woman was arrested, police said.
