Potter’s Cay double murder suspect caught on Andros

A suspect has been taken into custody in relation to the double murder that took place at Potter’s Cay Dock Wednesday night, according to police.

Police said on Saturday, a 25-year-old man was taken into custody in North Andros.

Authorities said he has been flown to New Providence for processing.

Wednesday night, two men were shot and killed on Potter’s Cay Dock, according to police.

Police said patrolling officers arrived on the scene and found two men unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the upper body.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men fled the scene heading west of Potter’s Cay Dock, according to police.

Less than 11 hours later, another double murder took place in White’s Addition off Kemp Road.

Police said two men were shot and killed shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to police, a car drove into White’s Addition and its occupants opened fire on three men, killing two of them and leaving another injured.

The murder count for this year is 29, according to The Nassau Guardian’s records.
