Man charged with Hospital Lane murder
A 42-year-old man was yesterday formally charged with the murder of Barron Roberts.
Prosecutors say Seron McQueen, of Dean Street, fatally shot Roberts outside an abandoned building on Hospital Lane on May 4.
McQueen was not required to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt. McQueen has been remanded to prison.
Roberts’ 19-year-old half-brother, Terrance Rolle, was murdered on January 1. He was walking on Blue Hill Road when he was shot in the head. Police have charged Marvin Martin, 43, of Hospital Lane, with Rolle’s murder.
