An off-duty reserve police officer yesterday shot and killed a man who was breaking into his neighbor’s car, police said.
According to police, shortly after 4 a.m. in the Fox Hill community, the officer heard a commotion that he thought was on his property.
The officer went outside, armed with his licensed shotgun, and saw a man breaking into his neighbor’s car.
According to police, the suspect began acting in a threatening manner and the officer fired his gun.
The injured man was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
