Second man charged with murder, attempted murder
Police have charged a second suspect in connection with the murder of one man and the attempted murders of three other men.
Derron Deveaux, 24, of Big Pond, appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt yesterday charged with the May 28 murder of James Delean and the attempted murders of Kevin Telusnord, Walvins Garconville and Bryan Morley.
Deveaux was not required to enter pleas to the charges at his initial court appearance.
Deveuax’s co-accused, Wesley Delhomme, 19, of Pinedale, was charged with the crimes last week.
Both men next appear before Ferguson-Pratt on July 17.
At that time, prosecutors intend to fast-track the case to the Supreme Court for trial with the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.
On that date the accused will be informed of their arraignment date in the Supreme Court.
