Man killed in his bedroom

A man was shot and killed shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday at a home on Sister Marie Rahming Drive, Millennium Gardens, police said.

According to reports, the man was asleep in a bedroom of the home when an armed man stood outside the window and opened fire into the room, before running away.

The victim died on the scene.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information on the matter to contact the Central Detective Unit or crime stoppers at 328-8477.

The latest incident takes the country’s murder count to 39 so far for the year.

The matter came just hours after a woman was shot outside a home in Flamingo Gardens.

Police said shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday, a group of women was standing outside the home, when an armed man came from the rear of the house and opened fire in the group’s direction, before running away.

One woman was hit and was transported to hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
