100 Haitians caught near Inagua

Authorities apprehended 100 Haitian migrants in waters off Inagua on Thursday afternoon, according to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF).

The migrants – 89 men, 11 women – were transported to Inagua where they were handed over to immigration authorities for processing, the RBDF said.

The apprehension was the result of a joint operation between the RBDF and Operation Bahamas Turks and Caicos (OPBAT).
