Robbers stack trolleys to escape supermarket
Perpetrators who broke into a Super Value location on Baillou Hill Road yesterday escaped by accessing the ceiling with a ladder made of shopping carts.
Police said the incident took place shortly after 1 a.m.
Officers responded to an alarm at the location and discovered that the culprits cut a hole in the roof of the building and lowered themselves inside using ropes.
After searching the store, they stacked shopping carts and used them to climb up to the hole in the roof and escape, police said.
Police said it was unknown if anything was stolen from the supermarket, and nobody has yet been taken into custody.
