Landlord to stand trial over alleged tenant row

A landlord accused of pulling a gun on his tenant was yesterday committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court.

Dominique Deveaux, 28, of Coconut Grove Avenue, is set to appear before Justice Bernard Turner on July 19 for arraignment.

At that time, Deveaux will enter pleas to charges of possession of a firearm with intent to put another in fear, possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition.

Prosecutors allege that Deveaux pulled a gun on Jean Lewis on March 19 and ordered him out of his apartment.

Police allegedly found a .40 Glock pistol, serial number VSR665, and 12 rounds of .40 ammunition at his premises.

Deveaux is represented by attorney Sidney Dorsett.
