Man injured in Exuma boating accident
An American man was hospitalized as a result of a boating accident near Exuma, police said yesterday.
According to reports, a tour boat was sailing in Elizabeth Harbour, George Town shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday, when the captain felt something hit the rear of the boat.
When the captain and others checked, they found a man with injuries to his hand.
The injured man was retrieved from the water and taken to the Exuma Medical Facility, where he was treated. He was later airlifted to a hospital on New Providence, where he is listed in serious condition.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
