Turner joins Guardian team to produce new section

The Nassau Guardian is pleased to announce that Sharon Turner, who has 17 years of combined experience and accomplishment in print and photo journalism and government and public affairs, has joined its editorial team to develop a new and exciting current affairs section.

In this capacity, Turner will write on a wide range of national interests for the weekly column ‘Perspective’, which will run on Mondays.

The column will be analytical, authoritative and informative, delving into various national issues and providing readers with another viewpoint on matters that impact their everyday lives.

Candia Dames, executive editor of The Nassau Guardian, said, “We are excited to have Sharon on board as we seek new ways to diversify our product and introduce additional quality content to our readers.

“I have known Sharon for a long time and have always respected her talent and the depth she brings in her commentary and examination of issues that have broad impact. She is well researched and thoughtful in her approach. I look forward to her having a long and meaningful partnership with The Nassau Guardian.”

Turner added, “At a period in this nation where Bahamians are becoming more astute and desirous of knowledge and insight they can use to effect change, the work of our Fourth Estate could not be more critical.

“I am pleased to continue the work of nation building through my return to our Fourth Estate, partnering with an accomplished team of professionals at The Nassau Guardian to give readers what they need: information to chart the road ahead.”

‘Perspective’ debuts next month.
